As part of Buick's strategy to bring added comfort and convenience to smaller, fuel-efficient vehicles, the compact 2012 Verano uses an Ecotec 2.4-liter engine to return up to 32 mpg on the highway, yet it also includes a bevy of upscale features. The Buick Verano comes standard with the brand's IntelliLink infotainment system and QuietTuning technology, which minimizes sounds and vibrations to create a more serene cabin.
"The Buick Verano is striking a chord with young professionals by offering an efficient ride that is also rewarding inside," said Nick Kisielewski, general manager of Quirk Buick GMC, a Manchester, NH Buick dealer. "Many New Hampshire drivers who may not have considered a Buick in the past are drawn in by the fact that they can get so many luxury features in a smaller, more practical car."
While the 2012 Buick Verano is already contributing to the brand's bottom line, buyers that have been waiting for a punchier luxury ride will want to look into the 2013 Buick Verano Turbo. Arriving at dealerships by the end of the year, the Verano Turbo will house an Ecotec 2.0-liter turbocharged engine that generates 250 horsepower, a boost of 70 horsepower compared to the standard Verano. Additional performance-focused features will include a dual exhaust, sport pedals and a rear spoiler.
